Flying to Porto

Porto is easily accessible from all major European cities and from most major alliance hubs. For connecting passengers, the following hubs have flights to OPO.

  • Newark/EWR – United
  • Brussels/BRU – Brussels
  • Frankfurt/FRA – Lufthansa
  • Munich/MUC – Lufthansa
  • Zurich/ZRH – Swiss
  • Istanbul/IST – Turkish
  • Madrid/MAD – Iberia
  • Casablanca/CMN – Royal Air Maroc
  • Amsterdam/AMS – KLM
  • Paris/CDG – Air France

Airport to City

The Porto Airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and is located about 20 minutes from the city center.

OPO airport is connected to the City Center by Metro. Take Line E – Purple – Airport – Estádio do Dragão – Airport. The metro runs every 20 to 30 minutes.

Uber is readily available in Porto. A trip from the airport to the City Center  costs €20 – €30.

Rental cars are easily available and affordable at OPO.

If you are planning to get a car to visit the Douro Valley or elsewhere, we recommend picking it up after the wedding (or dropping it off before the wedding if visiting in advance). Parking in the City Center is limited and expensive, and traffic is weaving between pedestrians.
